JUNIORS DEFEAT QUIST AND TURNBULL
(Received 7, 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 7. The second round of the Victorian tennis championships produced some surprises. The doubles title-holders, Qulst and Tui'nbull, were defeated by the juniors Gilchrist and Linde in five sets. In the women' s singles Miss Stevenson defeated the American Miss Workman with the loss of only two games. Misses Workman and Bundy were defeated in the women' s doubles by Misses Stevenson and Blick. Budge and Mako and the leading Australians won their singles matches comfortably.
