NELSON, Last Night. In the course, of his remarks at the opening of the Motueka A. and P. Society3s* show, th© Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, who received a most cordial reception, referred to the importanee of the holding of poorer elass land from going back to its original condition, stressed the value of subterranean clover. He explained that the Government would plan that certain areas in New Zealand be put down in clover and it would provide se'ed and manure to prevent this land going back. Tho Minister. congratulated the district on the excellence of the exhibits.
