POPULAR WEDDING AT ST. PETER'S, WAIPAWA
BIBBY — C0LLETT A very pretty and popular wedd*. was celebrated on December 2 at St. Peter's Church, Waipawa, the contracting parties being Jane Dillon, younger daughter of Captain H. C. Collett, of Waipawa, and Erie John Marsden, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Bibby, also of Waipawa. Rev. W. I. Drake performed the ceremony, while Mrs. Drake presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated with masses of delphiniums, roses and sweet peas by the twin sisters of the bridegroom, Helen and Margaret Bibby and JoeelyijE Collett. The bride, who entered the church with her father, looked charming in her exquisite bridal gown of hand-pain'^d ivory leon, made redingote fashion over a pleated skirt of gleaming satin. The ltong, tighlfc sleeves came to a point and buttoned over the wrists. Her dainty embroidered tulle veil fell from a dlver coronet and she carried aisheath of white roses and lilies. The bride 's sister, Miss Gwenyth Oolle'fct, was the only bridesmaid, wear-. ing a sea-green lacquered crepe redin» gote with very full sleeves and stiffen* ed revers, an apricot crinoline hat with a large flat bow of lacquered crepe, and earrying a sheath of apricot roses and sweet peas. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Kenneth Bibby, brother of the bridegroom, and the ushers wei;e Messrs. C. Collett (Wellington) and A. Bibby. Subsequent to the ceremony, a reception was held in St. Peter's Hall, where Mrs. Collett received her guests wearing a very smart printed navy and white ensemble with large navy. hat and earrying a posy of scarlet roses. Mrs. Bibby, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing a modish f rock of navy. floral silk with blaek georgette redin-i gote, and she carried a posy of pinkj roses. Mrs. M. Collett, grandmother of> the jn'itle, wore a black georgette coat over' a handsome lace froek and carried a posy of mauve stock and sweet peas. Later, when the young couple left on,; their honeymoon, which was a tour ofj the north, the bride looked very smarti in a grey pin-striped costume with satin: tunic blouse, navy shoes and smart! navy hat with eellophane bow. Mr.t and Mrs. Bibby 's future home will be ,in the Waipawa district, ■_ , _ _
