Takapau Presbyterian Sunday School

TAKAPAU, Last Night. The annual tea and prizegiving of the Presbyterian Sunday School was held in the Town Hall, there being a large gathering of children, parents and friends. Pupils from the Otawhao Sunday School were also preseut. After tea had been served games were indulged in, and a drill display by the children under the supervision of Mr Keith Allan, of the local school staff, was viewed with great interest. The following items were given by the children: — Solos, Edith Taylor; recitations, Nancy Paulsen, G. Mouate, N. Eldershaw and E. Lamberg; pianoforte solo, Oswald Taylor. Mr Taylor, superintendent of the Sunday Sehool, addresseu the parents and children, particularly calling on the parents for their support in sending the children regularly to Sunday School. The Rev. H. S. Scott made a small presentation to Miss Flora Mcmillan, who, for five years, had taught in the Sunday School and altogether had been a great help in church work generally and who would be greatly missed from the sphere of labours. Miss McMillan suitably Teplied, •thanking Mr Scott for his complimentary remarks. The prizes were then distributed, after which supper was served. All were unanimous that a very happy time - had been spent.
