LONDON — England is to bave a milk pudding champion. But it will take tbree years to decide wbo sbe will be. Tbe National Milk Publicity Council is to award tbe cbampionship, and it is to be competed for by tbose of tbe 5445 women 's institutes of England and Wales wbicb lie within seven selected countries. In September tbis year, tbe ' first round will be played — or. rather, cooked — off in a eompetition between individual members of tbe various institutes, and eacb institute will be . presented with prizes in two classes. Eollowing'tbis, and commencing in 'April, 1939, tbere will be a group round in wbicb institute will vie, witb, institute in eacb competing area. Tbe grand ehampionship for- winners and runnersup in tbe group round will be held in tbe following year.
