Mr W. H. Bicltley, formerly of Waipukurau and now of Wellington, was a visitor to Waipukurau yesterday, Mr Bickley has just returned to New Zealand after aceompanying tho touring New Zealand cricket team as spfecial correspondent for the PrCss Association, Mr Lisle Hestcr, only son of Mr and Mrs J. S. Hester, of Kaitaia, North Auckland., passed away at the District Ilospital, Waipukurau, yesterday, at the age of 59 years. Mr Hester leaves a wife and child. The interment will take place at Kaitaia. Mr L. G. Harker, Mr Cyril H&rker, Miss jQan Harker and Miss Valerie Harding, all of Waipukurau, have returned from a three-weeks motor tour of the North Island. Mesdames G. W. Wright, W. G, Beckett and R. E. Pope, Wellington., are guests of Mrs L. G. Harker, Waipukurau. Mrs V, E. Douglas, Waipawa.^ has left on a holiday visit to Lower Hvltt. Mr B. O. Gamby, Town Clerk at Waipawa, has left for Wellington to attend a conference of small gasworks d'elegates. Mr C. G. E. Harker has returned . to Woipawa after a holiday visit to Whangarei.
