Messrs E. E. Perkins, W, Oliver and S. Murphy, of Waipukurau, wer& granted their " A ' ' pilot 's , licences yesterday. Mesdames de Stacpoole and Bcndeich, and Misses B. and P. de Stae,-« poole and L Butler, were. proposed as new members at the annual meeting ot the Waipukurau Golf Club. Their election will take place at a later date. Mr J.' O'Dowd, senior linesman at Waipukurau, resumed duty yesterday after an absence of 22 months tkrougn illness. ' Mr K Hales, formerly of Waipukurau, ia returning to rejoin the staff of the Waipukurau Post Office, having been transferred from Gisborne. Mr J. J. Kni'ght, of the staff of the Waipukurau Telephone Exchangef has been transferred to Paraparaumu; The ehange will 'not take place until the arrival of Mr - K. Hales from Gisborne. Mr and Mrs A. O'Leary, Waipukurau, left this morning for Waitahora (Dannevirke). They expect to be away Until after Christmas. Mr C. Boberts, late of Wellington and Bulls Post Offices, has been transferred to the Norsewood office. Mr Olsen, who has been on the Norsewood staff for a short period, has been transferred to Waipawa.
