RECENT WEDDING HELD AT GREENMEADOWS
GOLLOP— WRIGHT The marriage took place at the St. Columba 's Church, Taradale, recently of Jean Flers, third daughter of Mr and Mrs B. Wright, Greenmeadows, and Charles Thomas, eldest son of the late Sergeant-Major and Mrs C. Gollop, of Napier. The ceremouy was performed by the Bev. J. Cummings, and Miss C. Phillips preBided at the organ. The churcu was prettily decOrated with arum lilies and iceland poppies. The bfide, who entered the Church with her father, wore a Classical gown of ivory satin. The back panel of the skirt fell full, forming a train, and the bodice had a cowl neckliae effect, back and front, and the very full sleevCs
were gathered into a wrist-band. Her long tulle veil fell from a wreafcl of orange blossoms and formed a second train. She carried an arm shcaf of lilium-regalo and tritonia. The bridosmaid, Miss Nellie Newlands, looked dainty in pale mauve figured taffotas. The short puffed net sleeves were ruched, and the skirt also was ruched at the hemline. At the back of the waist was a spray of dark mauve fiowers, and her head-band was also of maiive fiowers. Silver shoes were worh and she carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas, gerberas, roses and fern. Mr Eeg. Gollop was best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents in Greenmeadows, Mr and Mrs Wright receiving the guests, the latter wearing a gown of burgundy figured silk crepe, with a spray of rosebuds on the corsage, She carried a posy of red TO'ses. Later Mr and Mrs C. T. Gollop left by car for a tour in the Botorua and Auckland districts. They will reside in Wairoa.
