WELLINGTON, Last Night. A claim for £2000 damages for allegel libel arising oub of the issue of a circular was brought in the Supreme Oourt to-day before the Ohief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and a speeial jury of 12. The plaintiffs were the New Zealand Natioaital Creditmen's Assooiation ( Wellingtoii) Ltd., and the defendants were Duns Agency (Wellington), Ltd., and Huia Hehepa Dimond, the manager of the company. Tlie statemeut of claim alleged tbat a circular issued by jfche defendants Was intended to destroy the credit in which the plaintiff company was held and to paralyse the business. The defence admitted the publication of the circular, but claimed that the contents were fair comment and privileged .
