INCREASE IN STAKES

WANGANUI, Last Night. The Wanganui Jockey Club has de•ided to incfease the stakes for the autumn meeting by £865 over last year's total, making £3015 for the two days in addition to tbe gold cup valued at £100 and donated by Mr. G. F. Moore. Practically all the races share in the increase.
