WAIPAWA, Last Night. A very enjoyable ericket match. was playea on Coronation Parlc, Waipawa, over the week-end between teams representing the Post nnd 'Telegraph Department, Waipawa, and Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., Waipawa. Williams and Kettle had first strike to score 66 runs (JefEery 15, M. Bishop 10, Vauglian 13). Bowling for the Post and Telegraph Davis took two for 1, Milne two for four, Hart two for 10, and Keuny two for 16. .,Post and Telegraph first innings realised 63, Davis playing an aggressive strike for 34 and Kenny 11. Vauglian, for WillianiB and Kettle, bowled splendidly to take five -udckets for four runs, Jegery took two for nine, MacGregor ; one for 13, and Drew oue for 15. Williams and Kettle's second innings realised 42. E. Bishop (18), being the chief contributor. For the Department Milne took three wickets for two runs, Davis three for 10, Hart two for 10, and Jopson two for 19. With 46 to get to win the Post and Telegraph made a fighting draw of the game to contribute 45, Davis again batting well for 15 and Hart 10. For Williams and Kettle MacGregor took three wickets for eight, Vaughan two for four, M. Bishop two for 12 and JefEery one for 10. The game was a most entertaining and exciting one, and as none of the participaats play regularly the form shown with both bat and ball was very good.
