WAIPUKURAU CLUB

The Waipukurau Bowling Club had a most successful day on Saturday when the six finks engaged in play for the Hawke's Bay Shield won their games. With the five wins recorded on the previous Saturday the club can be said.to be in a very strong position with 11 wins and one loss. Following is tho result of tlie games played on the Waipukurau green, Waipukurau names being mentioned first: Elliott, Hitchens, Richards, Lourie, 24; Napier: Willett, Franklin, Buckley, F. Pirie,«12. Duckworth, Hill, Bradley, White, 31; Napier: Angove, Seaton, McLaren, J. Williams, 17. Jones, Schrouder, Burfield, Cook, 27; Heretaunga: Paynter, Usherwood, Howlett, Schofield, 12. Other Games. Results of other games played on Saturday were: — ■ Moorhead, Wharmby, Williams, , 24; Bennett, Chambers, Gibson, 16. Ward, Butler, 16; Parsons, Clarkson, 19.
