Two District Shield games were - pliiyed at- Taradale on Satutday afternoon, when Omarunui were opposed by a rink eacli from Heretaunga and National Service? the honours of the occasion' being 50-50, Heretaunga being beaten, while the "Nationals" proved just a shade better than the homesters. Away from home, Omarunui 's two teams both suffered defeat. The scores at home were as under: — Heretaunga: Hickmott, Banks> Evison, Collinge, 15; Omarunui: Williamson, Dixon, Wilson, H. W. Brown 27. . National Service: Bainbridge,, Scott, Sloan, Clark, 21; Gallagher, Wiseman, Smyrk, Wilkinson, 16. Club Game: Payne, Dawe, Eobert, Brown, 27; Fayen, King, Langley, Colbeck, 10.
