Mahora Committee Meeting
At the weekly meeting of the committee of the Mahora Swimming Club held last evening Mr J. Wise presided qver a good attendance. Mention was niade by Mr C. Lassen of an eff&rt that is to be made to provide a swimming baths for the nurses at the MemOnal Hospital, Hastings4 and he asked for the support of the club in making a donation to the fund. It was decided that a special carnival Be held on Thursday, December 9, for this object, and that the club make up the proceeds to the sum of £5. Mr Clem Watkins was thanked for his donation. of a trophy for the most improved diver. It was agreed that junior divmg competitora be handicapped for events at future carnivals. . Mr P. Tritt gave notice that he intends moving at the next meeting that the motion tnat all teams be numbered be rescinded and that teams be named. The Rainbow Shield delegates reported that the fixtures for the present season were arranged as follow: Heretaunga, December 17; Havelock North, February 9; Mahora, February 24. In regard to the Havelock carnival to be held to-morrow, cars for the Mahora competitors wilU- be at the sehool at 7 o'clock.
