This Freedom

S. J.

TUBNEE.

Sir, — In your issue of November 25 a letter appears isigned "Who's Afraid?" I say he is afraid, and it's the likes of him or her, who have not the moral. courage to sign, that causes Governments to f ake . action to compel them to sign their name or shut up. And I tliink any Government is quite right in so doing. Doos "Who's Afraid," or anyone else interested, think that the proposed Act of Parliament is just a new thing in Australasia brought about by the Labour Party of New Zealand? If they do they have another big think coming. That very same Act was brought into cperation by the Lee Conservative Government in Tasmania more than 30 years ago, long before I.abour Governments were dreaint of. In conclusion^ Sir, I must 'say it was fair and honest to everyone interested.

— Yours, etc.,

Hastings, Nov. 28, 1937-
