WELLINGTON, This Day. Arrested late on Saturday niglit, two brothers, Leslie Archie Norrls, aged 17, and Arthur Henry Norris, aged 19, were charged before Mr J. Stilwell S.M. to-day with the unlawful conversaon of a sports car valued at £200, belonging to Ricnard Ford Sweetzer. It was stated that the youths had confessed to the conversion of 100 cars within the last six months, the total value being about £20,000. A number had been put over banks and considerdbly damaged. Ih addition a quantity of valuable property left in cars was miSsing. It waa not suggested that the accused stole the property. The police Said that apparently the accuseds' method was to take fwo cars and run them into one another or else push them over banks, A remand was granted until December 6 for further inquiries. The suppression of their names was refused and bail of £150 each was fixed.
