H.B. GENERAL LABOURERS
Ballot for Control of District Last week-end the president of the Federation of Labour. Mr A. Maclagan, addressed meetings in Napier and Hastings Tegarding the ballot whieh is now being taken to decide whether the Hawke's Bay General Labourers' Union should continue to have jurisdietion over the provincial ■ district of Hawke 's Bay. The speaker explained . that the ballot would close on December 2, and that every labourer should immediately record his vote on the question of which union he wished to cover the district, the Hawke's Bay Union or the Wellington Union. Nominations for offieial positions in the Hawke's Bay Union close on November 30, though ballot-papers will not be sent out until a decision has been arrived at in xespeet of the Federation of Labour ballot.
