NAPIER GOLF CLUB
Annual Meeting Held The Napier Golf Club's annual meeting, hfild on Thursday evening, was attended by a large number of members, Mr H. E. Troutbeck, captain, presiding. The aunual report and balance sheet disclosed an improvement in the club's iinances. The election of officers resulted in Mr T. H. Lowry being elected president and Mr N. Kettle vice-president. Mr Troutbeck was re-elected club captain unopposed. The entire committee was also re-elected unopposed, as follows: Messrs P. C, Fryer, W. B. Hobbs, A. E. Lawry, W. A. McLeod, E. J. Phillips, A. A. Sinclair and H. H. W.y-, lie. Mr G. F. Gardiner was re-elected! to the posjtion of auditor. It was decided that the September ournamont should be confined to throo days, to be hold at a week-end, Mrs Hector Smitli, in return for hei valuable services to the club extending over very many. years, was made a life member of the club. Mr Humphries made special referenco to the work of the greenkeeper, Mr Lang, and his assistants, stating that the coiirso had never been in better order.
