WOMEN'S INSTITUTES

Haumoana Meeting Tbe Haumoana Women's Institute beld its final meeting for 1937 in tbe Yillage Hall, on Thursday, Mrs. MeCarthy presiding over a fair attendance of members. As it was members' day, tbe business was very quiekly dealt witb, after wbicb Mrs. Scott took cbarge of tbe meeting. Tbe afternoon ^roved a very enjoyable one, talks and musical items entertaining members until tbe tea interval. Mrs. Scott gave a very interesting talk on "Maori Mythology" wbicb deligbted all present. Mrs. Donovan sang: "I Want tbe Wbole World to Love You," "Irish Blue Eyes." A musical competition caused mucb fun and interest, Mrs. Manning being the winner. Mrs. Potter talked on "An Indian Durbar. Community, singing brought the musical, items to a close. Best blooms: Mrs. Keohg 1, Mrs. Mudgway 2 and 3. After tea votes of thanks wero passed to Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Scott.
