GARDEN PARTY
Attraction at Havelock Nortli on Saturday To-morrow, Saturday, November 27, a' garden party will be held at the home qf Dr. and Mrs K. E. Crompton, under the auspices. of the ladies' committee of the Havelock North branch of the Waipawa Electorate National -Party. The fete will be opened at 2 p.m. by; Colonel J. H. Hargest, M.P., and a most interesting . programme has been arranged. Among the many attractions will .be a sale of work, produce, sweets and cakes; weight-guessing, chainstepping, quoits, hail-driving for ladies, staking a claim, and a bran tuh. Pupils of the Barrie Stndio will give an exi hibition of dancing on the law. Afteri noon tea and iee-cream will be pro-* vided. Free buses will leave Havelock North * for Dr. Crompton 's home, "The Puna,', Duart road, at 1.45 p.ui. and 2.15 P-ux.% returning at* the conclusion of the fete. The Automobile Association has made special arrangements for the parking of cars. '■ All electors are cordially invited to attend this function. !Admission is free. In the event of rain the fete will be held in the Havelock North Town Board HalL
