(Eeceived 26, 8.45 a.jn.) DETEOIT, Nov. 24. . The first serious m'Ovement by the Committee of Industrial Organisation against Mr Henry Ford occtirred when 1000 picketers attempted to prevent woi'kcrs from entering the factory grounds, but autoinobiles carrying loyalists crashed in the gates. Mr Ford promptly accepted the chab lenge and applied to. the Circuit Oourtfor an injunCtiOn to restrain pickets and others from interfering with* operations, The petition, which the Courfe took under advisexnent, also asked for the fixation of damages for loss due to interference. . The situation is a climax to a iongstandibg feud in which Mr Ford has not disguised his hostility to the O.T.O., and is also a significant indication of the O.I.O. belief in its own strength. Tt provi'des a dramatic reply to recent nl-

legations that the O.I.O. is facing a flnancial crisis owing to the non-payment of dues as a consequence of the trade reeession, internal dissension and th.3 loss of the steel strike. A thousand strikers and sympathl'sers picketed the works this morning and were still present at closing time, but they did not interfere with the departing workers. A polieeman whose leg was crushed escorting the non-strikers ' car was the only major casualty. During the day 13 pickets wero arrested on charges of assault and disturbing the peace. Delmont Garst, rogional director of the United Automobile Workers, said that the strike was due to diserimination. (Sympathetie action is possible in other Ford plants. Workers at Kansas City have been warned to be prepared for action. .
