SPLENDID LAMB LINE
Whakamarumaru Draft Averages 361bs. CONSIGNMENT OF 1200 HEAD Though the present season has not been of the best as regards lambing in Hawke's Bay, one producer at least has every reason to be well satisfied with his mam draft for the year. He is Mr G. H. Lowe,~of Whakamarumaru, whot despite having to work on light countty requiring considerable topdressing and attentiOn, forwarded to the Whakatu works yesterday a particularly fine line of lambs. Althouerh Mr Lowe drafted somewhat
earlier than is usual, this year he sent over 1200 lambs to the works. That they were in ieally excellent condition is indicated by the fact that they averaged 361b3. i * The line was quite one of the best I've seen for some time and one of the biggest," said one authority this morning. "It is remarkable that such a good line should come off such light country. It is a inosfc creditable performance on the part of Mr Lowe."
