Here is the first: — BRAN MUFFINS. Ingredients: 2 cups of flour; 2 cups of bran, 4 cup of sugar, 1 cup golden syrup, 14 teaspoonfuls bicarbonate of soda, essence of vanilla. Method: Mix aU the ingredients together with a little milk, and place in greased patty tins. Cook in a moderate oven for about a quarter of an hour, and be sure to cut with a very sharp knife.
