TESTED RECIPES
For about the next fortnight wise readers will make sure to cut out the recipes given each evening because they have all been well well tested, *-ach recipe havi'ng been contributed by a member of the arts and crafts circle of the Townswomen's Guild at a roll call given at their meeting yesterday. Here is the first: — BRAN MUFFINS. Ingredients: 2 cups of flour; 2 cups of bran, 4 cup of sugar, 1 cup golden syrup, 14 teaspoonfuls bicarbonate of soda, essence of vanilla. Method: Mix aU the ingredients together with a little milk, and place in greased patty tins. Cook in a moderate oven for about a quarter of an hour, and be sure to cut with a very sharp knife.
