This Freedom

Sir, — Well, well I So the Labour Party can't take itl Already they show the white feather and are going to be ehiidish by -preventing Mr. Brown from expressing any anonymous adverse criticism of their wonderful legislation. Surely the opposition, in all their glory, never perpetrated such a piece of Hitlerism as the suggested legislation forbidding newspaper anonymity. Apparently the day is at hand when we will be "Heiling Savage." Are the peop.e going to stand for such an autocratic action as the muzzling of the Bress Britons never shall be slaves — but the Labour Party thinks differently. Why can't they stand up to a straightout fight instead of covering their preclious - gkins with legipiation ? Why shouldn't (. ;'ue and John have the use of the colunvUs of the Press We don't all want free advertisement. We all realise that at tlie moment the Labour Party is drunk on the wine of power, but surely they should pull up their socks and be sports men. Well, let them go ahead with this latest brain wave, and it will only be another nail in their coffin. I would like to congratulate "Ajax'" on his splendidly-expressed letter. — \ ours, etc., "WHO'S AFRA1D " Hastxtigs, Nov. 25, 1937'.
