NAPIER PARK RACES
Meeting' of Club Executive A meeting of the committee of the Napier Park Eacing Club was held laot evening when the following members were present: Messrs C. Louisson (chairman), Y. Cox, F. G. Smith, A. G. S-tead, E. J. Jeffares, C. Ruddenklau, R. Chesney and H. E. Troutbeck. An application by the Northern Hawke's Bay Federation of Women "s Institutes for the use of the racecourSe for a garden fete on February 16 was granted. A favourable report by the stipendiary steward oi the New Zealand. Eacing Conference was read, and it was decided. to leave the suggestions regarding certain repairs in the hands of the caretaker. Twenty-two new members were elected, the committee expressing satisfaetiou at the success of the drivo to ob tain more members. Thc iinaucial statement of the spring meeting showing a satisfactory proiit was piaced before the meeting and adopted. The following wdre appoinled "a prograinme committee for the autumn meeting: Messrs C. Louisson, O. Nelson, J". F. Miller, A. G. Stead and E. J. Jelares. It was decided to instal a teiephono in the secretary '„s office on race days. It was resolved to send letters of appreciation to the Gisborne Eacing Club for hospitality and assistance given to the club's secretary on her recent visit to their race meeting, to Misses Twist and Williams for loan of horses afid to Stewart Greer M-otors Ltd., for assistance on race day. !
