FINAL BROADCAST
2ZL, Hastings, to Sign Ofi To-night To-night radio listeners will hear the final broadcast from Station 2ZL, Hastings, the station being due to signoff after the usual children 's hour and studio and recorded programme. In future, children 's broadcasts from the Station will be conducted by means of a Iand-line to Station 2ZH, Napier. An important alteration has been made in respect of the children 's programmes, which it was originally intended should be broadcast on Thursday evenings as had been the practiee when the Hastings station was in operation. It has now been decided, however, that Thursday ehall be a completely silent night in the meantime, and that the Hastings children 's broadcasts will go on to the air on Monday evenings, the first broadcast to be next Monday. Offieials of the National Broadcasting Service are at present at work completing the, erection of the Iand-line to Napier, in conjunction with the Post and Telegraph Department.
