AUSTRALIAN LANDING PLACES

(Beeeived 24, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 23. The '.ydney Morning Herald's Canbcrra correspondent says that unless the Gommonwealth Government agrees to provide temporary landing plaees for flying-boats, there is no hope of the airmail service between Britain and Australia starting befOre the middle of -938. The advent of a wet season in the north makes it impossible to start construetion bases until the end of March, and it will be at least three months later before they are finished.
