WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

Mangaorapa Group At the Mangaorapa Women 's Institute's monthly meeting Mrs. Hope presided over a fair attendance of members. The competitions for the month were a soft toy and a decorated basket. Miss Joan Redward gaihed first prize for a decorated basket, Mrs. Hogg being second, Misses Lila Hansard and June Davidson acted as judges. Mrs. M. Davidson gained first prize for a soft toy. A competition for the most different proverbs, beginning from a three-worded one and working up, was eondueted by Mrs. Moroney and won by Mrs. Hogg. The hostesses for the afternoon were Misses John Redward and Olga Thelwall.
