Aiding H.B. Children's Home

WAIPUKURAU, This Day. There was a representative gathering of both town and country residents at the meeting held in the Toc H rooms, Waipukurau, yesterday in connection with the Charity Ball in aid of the Hawke's Bay Children's Home which is to be held in the Municipal Theatre early in Hecember. *Mr P. F. Wall presided and explained that Toc H members were making all arrangements for the ball and wished the ladies, of the district to see to the supper arrangements. All present wiilingly promised to contribute and collect all the supper, many cash donations being also received which will provide for any extra expenses. A decoratiYe committee headed by Mrs Wall and Miss A. Wilder was ap- , pointed to attend to the deeorating of , the stage. '
