Capture in Palestine
(Received 23, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Nov. 22. Jerusalem Press messages say that Skeik Farlian Saadi kas been arrested at Mazaar, Nortkern Palestine. Skeik . Farlian Saadi is a terrorist leader wko has eluded capture for about two years. Saadi was run to egrtk drainatically near Jeniii by a, detacbment of. tke Second East Yorkskir© Regiment, wko scrambled up precipitous kills to reack tke village wliere Saadi was liiding. Tkey surrounded the village undcr cover of a tkunderstorm. Tke raid proved to ke a complete surprise. Saadi was found kiding in a wkeat bin in a house. He was armed with two revolvers but did not resist. Two members of his bodyguard and several villagers were 'krrested. Saadi will be tried before a military Oourt at Haifa on November 4. This will be the first trial nnder tho new regulations, under which the Ofiicer Commanding in Palestine is vested with complete powers over life and death. Tliere is no appeal from hiy decision. It is expected that the -summary pru cedure of the Courts will have a sobering effect on tlie Holy Land gunmen The military authorities state that there will be no delay in carrying out the sentences.
