Bright Singing by Children's Choir The singing of the children of the Hastings Methodist Sunday School in their anniversary services, attractod large congregations to the Methodist church on Sunday. Particularly was this so at the evening service, when the seating accommodation was taxed to its utmost, many not being able to gain admission. The choir of children's voices, with the stafi: of the Sunday School, wero led by Mr D. G. Sutherland, while Miss E. Napier presided at the organ. ln addition. 'to the part singing several solos and duets were sung by . the children. At each service the recitation of a Psalm was given as the scripture lesson as well as other recitations. " T'hose .taking part were Nada Cameron,. Muriel Saywell, Shirley Walker, Mary Buckingham,. Valferie Ainsworth, John and Trevor Jones and Craig Moore. ' The. Eev. R. B. Gosnell condueted. both the morning.and evening services, and the children's service was led by the ;Eev. E. B. Waugh. The baskets of iiowers which festooued.the church lent a festive appearanee to -the occasxon.
