Hatuma Meeting
Mrs. J. W. Coombes, vice-president, presided over a good attendance at the november meeting of the Hatuma Women 's Institute. A vote of, sympathy was tendered to Mrs. W. D. Fleming and Miss A. Jensen in their illness, with wishes for their speedy recovery. Members were reminded of the invitation from Mrs. S. A. Robinson to spend next Wednesday afternoon *in her garden. It was decided to enter in for Institute section at the 'Waipukurau A. & P. Show. A report of the Federation meeting held at Papatawa was submitted by the delegate, Miss Simmons, who was accorded a vote of thanks. c A further interesting talk on. the cities of Italy was given by Mrs. Carey, the speaker being listened to with much interest. keenly watched, the wxeaths and posies looking very nice when finished. The results of the competitions were »as follows: — Best bloom, Mrs. Howard 3, Miss Simmons 2, Mrs. J. Allan 3. Decorated bowl of flowers, Miss J, Allan 1, Mrs, Kennedy 2, Mrs. Coombes 3. Article suitabl© for a Christmas tree, Mrs, Howard 1 and 2.
