Officers Elected at Annual Meeting

WAIPAWA, This Day. The annnal general meeting of the Waipawa Golf Club was held on Friday Tphen there was & good attendancd of members. In the' absence of the prs sident, Mr Tickner was voted to the chair. The eleetion of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr Eli Kittow; president, Mr S. W. Strang; vice-presidents, Messr.-* Shacklefdrd, Bishop; captain, Mr E. J. Watts; vice-captain, Mr C. E. T, Woods; auditor, Mr E. W. Chisholm; committee, Messrs Tickner, Maitland, Bryant, Dallas and Knobloch, with the addition of "the officers of the club; course supervisor, Mr R'. Bishop; handicapper, Mr E. J. Watts; secretary, Mr D. H. Edwards. Mr Tickner explained fully the progress made to date by the committee in connectibn with the new links, a-nd the furtherance of this matter was left with the committee. The report and balance sheet covering the season's operations, the latter showing a substantial credit, were read and adopted. The thanks of the club were accorded to Messrs Kittow Bros., F. Wheeler, N. J. McKay, W. Clayton and J. Pratley, and to the ladies' of the club for their services xendered during the season.
