The ' Admiralty has announced that the dostroyer Greyhound brought tlie London steamer, African Mariner frora the Eastern Mediterranean to Malta to be searched under the Merchant Shipping A.ct, 193G, which prohibits Britisb sliips from carrying munitions to Spain. The vessel was taken over by the Port authorities on arrival. The solicitors for the owners of the Boceaceio, the Italian ship which blew np and sank ofl! the French coast, intimate that it carried no bombs or explosives, only general cargo. None of the steamers trade to Spanish ports. A Gibraltar message states tliat tho Britisli steamer Eupliorbia, which wns stopped hy H.M.S.
