The speech'from the throne expressed gratifieation at the loyal and sincere spirit in which Britain had co-operated at tho Montrcux eonferenco in the abolition of capitulations^ This was the first happy rcsult of the alliance and the solidarity of the two countries in the international domain to safeguard mutual interests and serve world peace.
