Loss of Aeroplane Near Cape Terawhiti

WELLINGTON, This Day. A finding that 'the loss of the aeroplane ZK — ACZ, with the pilot, Mr 'A. Smith, and passenger, Mr J. Hamill, near Cape Terawhiti on" March 23 was due to misadventure' and not to defauit or uegligence of any ^persons was quicto by the Board of Inquiry wlioso finding is announced to-day. As a general submission, with a view to the preservation of lifo and tho conservation of aircraft, the Board recommended that all clubs be ur'ged to insist that ali trainees or members under'go advanced or check dual flyiug at periods of 40, 60, 80 and 100 hours of solo flying, and that such flying in-^ clude, wherever possible, some eiperi-' ence under adverse weather conditions.
