Lord Halifax in Germany LENGTHY CONVERSATIONS . ' \ (Received 20, 11.5 a.m.) BEBLIN, Nov. 19. Viscount Halifax had a private conference with Herr Hitler at Berchtesgaden, Herr Hitler 's country residence. The talks lasted half an hour. Baron von Neurath acted as interpreter. The guests included Mr. I. A. Kirkpatrick, British Embassy officials and prominent members from Herr Hitler 's entourage. Herr Hitler and Viscount Halifax continued their discussions during and after lunch. The ■ whole of the talks last 4$ hours. , The, Daily Telegraph's Munich correspondent says: "Most of the time Lord Halifax was listening to Her f "Hitler. " The crowd gave tho Nazi salute when Herr Hitler, wearing a brown shirt, escorted Lord Halifax to his car. Lord Halifax replied by raising his bowler. Lord Halifax and Baron von NeuTath entrained for Munich. Herr Hitler followed in a special train half an hour later.
