IMPULSIVE BATSMEN

N.Z.'s Weakness at Sydney (Eeceiyed 20, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 20. C. G. Macartney, in commenting in the Sydney Morning Herald on the cricket match between New Zealand and New South Wales, says: "The moderate total coinpiled by New Zealand did not adequately represent the latent ability of the batting exponents. Every man was looking for runs and securing them, but their weakness lay in the fact that insufficient discretion was observed in aggressive work. "Wallace is a batsman who should bo a champion^ but at present his impulsiveness is' a noticeable faiilfc, Yivian, Moloney, Weir, Wallace and Hadlee are most capable batsmen who could associate with any in the world, but they require greater opportunities of rubbing shoulders with first-class players.
