COMING-OF-AGE PARTY GIVEN AT TAKAPAU
Mr and Mrs Duncan. McMillan, Takepau, enfertained a number of friends in the supper-room Qf ■ the Takapau Town Hall to celebrate the coming-of-age .of their - elder daughter' Revei. Tho room was very gaily decorated with balloons, Japanese lanterns and streamers in .green and' gold -tonisgS. The guests were received by Mr an' Mrs' McMillan, assisted by the guest of honour. Mrs McMillan was -tfearing a f rock of windswept • crepe in itavy blue, smartly flowered in white. • Miss Rerei McMillan-'s f rock wq-s . of leaf.v green georgette . flower.e.d : in pink ani gold, and Miss Flora McMillan, was wearing a f rock 1 of daffodil satin. Tho evening was Spent happily in dancing intergpersed with social items by Miss Pease and Mr Don JJcEflich. The dqnce music was supp'lied by Mi W, Te Tau and extras by Mr E. Pease. The duties of M«C. were ably . carrie»» out by. Mr George McNab. Miss F. Thompson and Mr-G. Bould won a sta tue waltz. : A dainty supper. was enjoyed by ail. The large square birthday cake was beautifully icod in gold; a gold kev and 'sprigs of white heather from Scot land adorned the' centre and '21 green candles were in posifoori round 'ihe sides. The foast to the guest of honour was proposed "by Mr -W. Little, Miss McMillan .making a suitable reply. Mr A. J. 'Campbell proposed the toast of the host and hostess. After replying M'r
