WELLINGTON, Last Night. The amount received to date in. the national appeal conducted by the joint council of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Eed Cross Society is £1213 6/10, reported the national seeretary, Mr' O. Meaehen, at to-day 's. meeting: of the 'cou'iicil at Mellington. Advice had been received prior to the meeting that the approximate amounts raise in other centrea would bring the tolal^to date to £2039 13/4.
