The New York Times correspondent . at Washington states in an exclusive article that, aceording to official advices, the Brussels conference will terminate next Monday unless the ' situfttion materially changes in the meantime. "The United States .considers xt ii> the best policy in the eircumstances, ' ' "It is tinderstood that the confer-1 ence wiU not recommend the Powefi to aid China with supplies or otherwise materially. The United States certainly does not intend to lead the other Powers in the matter, beeause she ha« no legislative Warrant for such action, and also it is believed that public opinion would not support such a policy."
