MR. W. A. GILLESPIE
The death" oecurred in a private hospital in Auckland of Mr William Aridrew Gillespie, wko was tke eldest son of the lato Mr John Gillespie, of Gillespie 's Liue, Palmerston Nortk, oue of tke oldest settlers of tke Manawatu district. Mr Gillespie, wko was 59 years" of age, was an accountanfc by prof ession and for some years was commercial manager for tke Hawke's Biay Farmers' Co-operative Association at Dannevirke. He came to Auckland about 12 years ago and was in business in Symonds street and later in Parnell as a groeer, but retired owing to illkealtk about two years ago. •
