Youth Injured When Lodomotive Slips

INVERCARGILL, Last Night. As the result of an accident which occurred in the railway yards this morniny} (Bowen Barnett Eades, metaw worlcer's as-istant, aped 16, received injuries from which he died while beingconveyed to the hospital. Eades, in company with two men and another assistant, was engaged in loading a locofotive on to a railway truck. itho jacking-up of the locomotive had just commenced when it slipped sideWays and jammed the boy against the railway truck. He was fadly crushed about the pelvis and received internal injuries. A doctor was immediately sumffioued, and the ambulance notified, but it was about 25 minutes before the injured boy could be Cxtrieated, tind he died CU the Way to the hospital xu the ambulance.
