N.Z. CRICKET TOURISTS
C. G. Macartney's Comment (Received 17, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 17. C. G. Macartney, commenting in the Sydney Morning Herald, says: — -"Although Victoria defeated New Zealand by a handsome margin, it hab anxious moments before that result was effected. The New Zealand bowling was not sufficiently formidable to drive home the advantage gained in the first innings, and the'fielding was hardly" up to that displayed- earlier in the match. "The general cricket of the New Zealanders is .of a refreshing character, ahd jt seems to matter little to them whether they win or lose as long as entertaining methods . are employed."
