TRAFFIC OFFENCES
Motorists Fined in Hastings } Court
Traffic offences comprised - all butthree of ' the ' prosecutions lieard this morning in the Hastings Sagistrate's Court this morning before Mr. J. Miller,' S.M. Fines' were imposed:in -the folloiving' cases : — For failing to give way to traffic from the right, Makawe Rangi Taura, of: Waitara, was fined £l with ' £1 2/costs. , The. operating of a heavy motor vehicle without a heavy traffic licence cost Hori Tupaoa, of Opapa, farmer, £1, with -£110/6 .costs. Anthony Riddley Robs.on, for operat•inga heavy . motor vehicle in Hastings without a windscreen . wiper, was fined. 5/- with 10/- costs. For overloading a heavy traffic vehicle, Gordon Hamilton Roach, of Havelock North, was fined- £3 with 10/costs.' Stanley E-ric Crooks, who diove without due care and attention, vvas fined £1 with. 10/- costs. Frank Cunningham h'ryer was fined 10/- with 10/- costs for operating a ^vehicle without a warrant of fitness. . Spencer Jack Roacli was fined 10/with 10/- costs for operating a heavy .motor vehicle. with defective brakes. ' For using a motor car without tho assigned number plates and operating an unregistered car, Arthur Ste-phen ;Austen was fined £2 and. £1 with 10/costs in each case. On similar charges Neville George Roach was fined £1 with 10/- costs on each. Oeeil .Laurent, of Glengarry, was fined 5/- with 10/- costs for failing to produce his driving licence upon the request of a traffic inspector.
