SUDDEN TEMPTATION
Young Man Given Probation THEFT OF A SHEEP-SKIN "I realise that this was a case of sudden temptation and I wiil talr9 that into account," said Mr. J. Miller, S.M., in the Hastings Magistrate's Court this morning when a man appeared Before him and pleaded guilty to the theft of a sheep-skin. He was admitted to probation for six months, and his name suppressed. Detective-Sergeant L, Eevell stated that accused had been going through the show-grounds when short of money and had taken the skin and sold it for six Bhillings. It had since been recovered. Accused was a young niarried man and had previously been of unbleniished cfiaracter. On behalf of the accused and his emplayer, Mr. W. Selwyn Averill made application for the suppression of his name'. Aftcr- the employer had given a eharacter testimony, the Bench complied with the request and admitted accused to probation for six months.
