Haiti-Dominica Dispute (Eeceived 16, 8.45 a,m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 15. President Eoosevelt has telegraphed 'the United States's aeceptanee of.the invitation from Haiti to join Mexico and Cuba for the purpose of mediating in the dispute with the Eepublic of Uominica. Mexico and Cuba have also. aceepted. Ifc was recenfly stated that at least 2700 Haitians, principally women and children, had been killed in a series of attacks by soldiers and civilians from the Dominican Eepublio sincc Oetober 5, and that 3000 Haitian residents had been driven out. The attacks were due to resentment over the heavy influx oi Haitians seeking work acrpss the Dqminiean fiyintier. An armed conflict between the two countries was only prevented by the interventiQU es American diplomatic officcrs.
