MELBOURNE, Nov. 15. New Zeajand surprised the .Victorian erielceters to-day with a 4ashing display of rapid and eongistent scoring when they resumed their second inutUgs. A brilliant partnership between VVaUhce and .Vivian, in which fours and sixes were frequent, was a feature of a game in whieh few ehances were given. The Victorians endeavoured to adopt the New Zealaaders ' run-saving tacties and field' placing and the scoring opened slewly, Parsloe being caught by Sievers off tCbeling after adding nine runs in 25 minutes. At the outset Pargloe reueived a heavy blow on the body by a ball from MeCorniick and thereafter was uneasy.
