SIGNATURES FORM THE PATTERN ON A FROCK
Here are some of the things I saw displayed in Paris to-day, says an overseas fashion 'editress. Signatures of actors, writers and film stars (Charlie Chaplin's among them) on the pattern of a printed cotton dress; Scarlet tinted fox as a startling collar on a dark coat; Little china figures, made of composition, as very large buttons; A blouse in printed cotton patterned all over with flags; . Sailor hat with a flag-post on it, with signal-flags flying; Hats in the shape of sugar-scoops; The square erown of a straw hat lifted up to disclose a vanity-box, completely fitted out, in its top; Beach shorts of quilted and padded scarle( linen; and A linen tweed dress in the shade of cocoa-powder. Higher waist-lines are indicated. Youthful styles with pleated skirts are favoured. Stripes are in again. So are all manner of fancv buttons.
