MRS NANCY GRANT

The death has ' occurred * of "one "of Hastings' older residents, in the person of Mrs. Naney Grant, of Pakowhai road, at'tlie age of 83. The late Mrs. Grant liad been a resident of Hastings for the past 30 years. The -late- Mrs. Grant- was born in Edmburg'h, ScothuiJ, in 1854, and came to Now Zealand 67 years ago.-Shc lived in Wellington for a short spaee. Eor several -years she- resided in the South Island, dt Temuka, and 30 " years ago came to Hastings, where ske has lived ever since. Iler husband, Mr. James Grant, predee'eased her 23 years ago, und she leaves a son, Mr. W. Grant, of Pakowhai • road, and two daughters, Mrs. M. Hammond and Mrs. S. A. Brown, of Onehunga. The funeral will leave her son's residence for the Hastipgs Cemetery to-morrow, at 2 p.m.
